About us
Introduction to Future HSC
Since 1996 Future has been responding to the needs of vulnerable people across Birmingham.
When the community needs change, we change too. Being flexible and dynamic has enabled us to respond to new challenges and to continue to support people we care about regardless of turbulent times and changes in funding patterns.
We always put people first and that includes the people who use our services, their carers and families, our staff, and our many partners.
Over the years we have supported clients and service users with a wide range of needs including mental health issues, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and ex-offenders.
Our main services are:
- Community Supported Living/Crisis House Services – Supported Living Care for people in mental health crisis offered in one of our three crisis homes across Birmingham. We work in conjunction with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (specifically with adults) and with Forward Thinking Birmingham (with a special focus on young people through their specialised Early Intervention Service).
- Supported Accommodation – We offer homes for rent to vulnerable people across Birmingham and areas such as Gloucestershire, Derby and Leicester coupled with appropriate levels of support by our Housing Officers and specialised Housing Maintenance support. Our current housing stock consists of over 200 properties.
- Future Care and Support Services – We provide practical, personal and social support to vulnerable people in their own homes.
